Ride the Cascades and Central Oregon – August 6th to 11th, 2017

This Bikeventures Northwest ride is six days of cycling on roads less traveled along streams, through old growth forests, and across the Cascades. We will explore the landscape, local townspeople and way of life along the route. The ride culminates in the central Oregon high desert.

We depart from Portland on Sunday August 6th and return Friday August 11th. Each day offers distance options of 30 to 60 miles so you can customize the route to optimize your experience and allow time to relax and enjoy both the ride and destination. We travel in a deluxe van that will deliver you to your start and can pick you up at any point along the route. This ensures that we only ride the safest roads with little traffic for the ultimate cycling experience.

Your luggage and bike travels with the van so you will have access to your gear on the ride. A picnic lunch, water, refreshments and snacks will be provided along the route. You are expected to bring your own bike in good working order. However, if you would like, a suitable bike can be provided for an additional charge. Our crew will be able to help with basic maintenance, flat tires and adjustments.

Accommodations are in the finest resorts, historic lodges and bed and breakfasts. Gourmet meals feature locally grown and raised products providing a delicious dining experience. To ensure everyone gets personalized service, the ride is limited to a group of 12.
